SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

The following scholarships are included on this one application for our BHS committee to review:

Multiple $2000 scholarships are available to students of Braham High School. Only online applications will be accepted.

Must be a graduating Braham Area H.S. senior who has been accepted and plans to attend a college/university including a technical college or trade school, or community college.

East Central MN PFLAG will be awarding $500 scholarships to LGBTQ+ seniors enrolled at high schools located within the five-county region of East Central MN.  Deadline for applications is April 15, 2024.

The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to investing in the future of area farmers by offering this scholarship.  They will be awarding ten $1,000 scholarships to area students.

Frandsen Bank & Trust is proud to announce the Orlo A. Balcer Scholarship for 2024! We will be awarding 25 - $1,000 scholarships to eligible high school seniors across Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. 

​How students apply: Students will apply by writing a short essay answering the following question: In 200 words or more, how do you contribute to your local community?

This scholarship is for a Braham Area High School student who plans to attend college and enter the education field. One $500 scholarship will be awarded and paid up passage of the PRAXXIS exam or the equivalent exam to gain your teaching license.

The Ed and Linda Melcher scholarship is for seniors attending Braham Area High School who will be attending a college/university or technical school and have chosen to pursue a degree beyond a high school diploma at an institution of higher learning.  The award of $500.00 will be given to the student selected by members of the Melcher Family.  Eligible students must have 2.75 GPA or higher and must have participated in at least one extra-curricular activity as a senior.

The Jim and Phyllis Londgren scholarship is for Braham Area High School seniors who have been accepted and plan to attend a college/university or technical school. The award of $1,500.00 will be given to the student selected by members of the Londgren Family.

East Central Energy will award four $1,500 scholarships to Braham Area High School seniors whose parents are ECE members.

The Alexis Ann Hasser Memorial Scholarship is for graduating seniors planning to pursue a degree in psychology or social work.

Eligibility Requirements:

To apply for the ICBYR Scholarship, the applicant must be one of the following:

  • A military service member or veteran who lives in or has their duty station in Isanti County, or has Isanti County as their home of record if they are active duty.

  • The legal spouse of an eligible military service member or veteran.

  • A child of an eligible military service member or veteran 

Eligibility Requirements:

To apply for the BSC Scholarship you must:

  • Be graduating from high school in spring of 2024

  • Plan to attend a post secondary educational institute in the fall of 2024

  • Be a member of a high school trap shooting team, or have a family member who is a member of the BSC.

Our 18th annual scholarship opportunity, now $2,000, is open to any graduating high
school student who will be attending any post- secondary school in the Fall of 2024.
• Applicants are not required to be members of the Rush Lake Improvement Association.
• Applicants are not required to be Rush Lake residents.
• If Rush Lake holds a special meaning to you, we encourage you to apply.

Braham Area Committee for Kids is an organization that raises funds to help support local students.  This year it is our honor to offer two $500 scholarships to students who attend Braham Area Schools.  Each scholarship awarded will consist of $500 per year for up to four years. 
• Applicants must be a Braham High School Senior who plans to further their education.
• Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher

Federated Co-op will be giving out two $1,000 scholarships this year to students who meet the following criteria:

  • Braham High School Senior

  • Federated Co-ops, Inc. member or current employee 

  • Financial need a factor in consideration.

  • Student must enroll in a two-year or four-year accredited college. Educational focus being

      Agronomy, Energy, Retail, or a service industry is preferred. (i.e., mechanic school)

To be considered for this scholarship, a student must:
1. Be a high school senior in Isanti, Kanabec, Pine, or Mille Lacs county
2. Include a current high school transcript
3. Plan to pursue a field of study related to agriculture or career connected with agriculture
4. Provide one letter of recommendation from a non-relative
5. Obtain at least a 2.0 GPA for the first semester of studies
6. Email or mail a completed application to the following address by March 31, 2024
7. Applications that do not meet the above will not be considered

This is a $500 scholarship with a preference for students going into:
1. Automotive

2. Body Work

3. Mechanical

4. Electrical

The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement will be awarding at least 20 academic scholarships, valued at up to $10,000 each to mid-Atlantic area students planning to pursue a career in agriculture.
